Why bugs rush indoors after rain
Cockroach and ant nests in the UAE typically live in the cracks between paving slabs, in irrigation pipes, and in expansion joints. Heavy rain floods these spaces and the colonies migrate upward — toward the warm, dry place that smells like food: your kitchen.
Pre-emptive treatment
- Refresh residual sprays in October — before the first rains
- Place fresh gel-bait under sinks and behind appliances
- Check expansion-joint sealant on outdoor paving
- Schedule a post-rain follow-up visit
